In November 2015, we completed some detailed data analysis for a European project on rural economic development, faster broadband and advanced ICT. The CREATE project (Connecting Rural Enterprise for A Transnational Economy) hired Data Orchard to gather, collate, and make sense of a range of data sets. These included data from face to face interviews, local and international business surveys, records of business advice and support around growth, productivity, competitiveness and technology.
The analysis identified the top priorities and emerging common themes for small and medium enterprises. It evaluated the effectiveness of advice services in addressing current business needs, and how this advice might impact on future investment in infrastructure. Results were shared with stakeholders at their international conference in France in September 2015.
Data Orchard were commissioned by Herefordshire Council as project managers of the CREATE project, funded by INTERREG IVB North West Europe.
