Project Description

Borderlines is the UK’s largest rural film festival and the largest film festival in Central England. In 2013 Data Orchard director, Sian Basker, successfully delivered a major audience research project. The research explored the economic and cultural impact of the festival; audience profiling around viewing habits, socio-economic backgrounds and geographic reach; and development opportunities for the future.

The research findings were used to influence decision-making on the direction and growth of the festival. In particular, to support income generation, sponsorship and media partnerships, and audience development online and offline.
