Data Orchard was established to enable local communities to help themselves by gathering and using evidence to achieve their aims. We can help you to:
- Gather and make sense of existing data about your community
- Collect new data about your community
- Turn your data into evidence to support your project and/or funding bids.
Whether your project is to create or improve community facilities, develop a community plan, or make the case in a funding bid, we can help you gather the right data and use it effectively.
For example, we can help you gather robust data to understand what local residents think and may need in future, or profile your area using a range of statistics. We can analyse all the information to inform your plans and funding bids.
If your community is undertaking a Neighbourhood Development Plan our team can help you at every stage of the project – including advice and support with governance, project management, data gathering, consultation and engagement, and drafting planning policies. We have supported over 40 plans in the past few years.
We pride ourselves on working in collaboration with communities to make sure we deliver what you really need. We offer objective and professional advice but are also approachable and flexible.
Our directors and associates have many years’ experience of community-led plans, social research, and community action.
